A one mile paddle down Sagg Pond to an ocean beach picnic BBQ and bonfire. Return paddle by the light of the moon (providing the clouds cooperate). Sponsored by Group for the South Fork. Reservations required. COST: $20/person for fish dinner. Boat rentals provided ($35 single kayak; $45 doubles and canoes).

Join one or all six tours and discover some of the flora and fauna of our local marshes, ponds, and estuaries as we paddle these unique scenic waterways in Southampton. All trips are led by naturalist Mike Bottini and are suitable for novice paddlers (no first-timers please... participants should have some paddling experience).
SPONSORED BY SOUTHAMPTON TOWN PARKS & RECREATION.
FEE: $25 per tour for Southampton Town resident); $35 for non-residents.
RENTALS: Single kayaks ($25 per tour).

BLOCK ISLAND WEEKEND: Sept. 29 - Oct. 1 [FULL...WAIT LIST ONLY]


Never been to Block Island?
Visit this gem with naturalist Mike Bottini when the island is at its best: during Indian Summer after the crowds have left. This three day trip is sponsored by the East Hampton Trails Preservation Society and allows plenty of time to explore the island's extensive greenbelt trail system.
Depart Montauk Friday at 10 am SHARP; return to Montauk on Sunday at 5:30 pm.

Trip price includes guided hikes, two nights accommodation at the Mitchell Inn and the Sheffield House, six meals (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast-lunch-dinner, Sunday breakfast and lunch), and a Saturday evening program about the island. Not included is the ferry ($50 round trip from Montauk).
COST (based on double occupancy):$260/person (private bath); $230/person (shared bath) for EHTPS Members ($20 extra for non-members covers the annual membership fee).
